A busy week. Trying to get stuff done and maintaining a few things. Trying to build routine and momentum. Spiritual warfare is real! Just when I get going, start feeling like I am getting the ground back beneath my feet, BOOM! I feel the attack start.
Progress is happening, though not fast enough (believe me, I am okay with it, and see what all I do, but not everyone does).
We were all healthy enough to make it to church Sunday to dedicate our youngest boys to the Lord in service, and have B’s birthday party after.
My grandma, my children’s great grandma came, along with my mom, dad, brother, a sister, and some friends. My girlie had to sit next to grandma. It was so precious. They held hands the whole service. L even got a bit of a nap in on grandma.
The party was fun. It was nice to get to talk to some friends that we have not seen in a while.
After the party my mom and sister came back to our house to watch the children (all except the youngest who stays with me) so hubby and I could catch Gone With The Wind on the big screen. I really enjoyed it. I am wondering if I can convince hubby to go see Ben Hur next month…
Then, Sunday night, our youngest and our girlie started running a fever. Last night everyone was warm.
Not much sleep has been had.
Yesterday our 2 year old tried to throw something at his sister. He missed, but hit the tv in the living room, cracking the display.
He also got a bath twice due to poopy potty accidents. Potty training is rather slow going.
It is a break week from storytime (and since I was late registering, we may not get into one of them, we are on the waitlist), so we will just be missing karate and church Wednesday night. I am praying that everyone is better by the time for karate Thursday, but we will see. My general rule is they have to be fever free for at least 24 hours.
I am making up a batch of elderberry syrup today.
I did manage to share how I use honey as a face wash the other day.
Yesterday at the grocery store I got some things to try to color eggs naturally. It should be a fun experiment for us.
On to the linkup!
The Aprons & Pearls Link-up
“If you want to experience consistent victory and see it played out in the atmosphere of your home, continually look for areas in which the Holy Spirit is leading to greater obedience, and ask God what your part is in making that a reality.
Cynthia Carrier
This is a Christ-based weekly link-up to encourage others in their walks, and help Christian bloggers get their work out there.
Leave links to posts that are:
Homemaking/natural living/parenting/Christian walk related.
This could be natural living posts, recipes, cleaning, parenting, devotions, lessons, homeschool, Christian living, mentoring, modesty, gardening, homemade, diy, marriage, relationships, frugality, etc.
Linking Guidelines:
-
- Link directly to your post (not to your homepage).
- Please, no marketing posts (Plexus, Jamberry, MLM Oils or the like). Affiliate links to relevant items okay.
- While I personally do not see anything wrong with a glass of wine every once in a while, please do not include alcoholic beverage recipes. It is a stumbling block to many, and I am not comfortable including them. They will be deleted.
- Feel free to include old posts that need some love, relevant link ups and giveaways.
- Leave as many as you like.
- Link back to the Aprons & Pearls Linkup, either using the button below or a text link on either your post, sidebar, or link party page.
- Use the hashtag #apronspearls when posting on social media so we can find your posts as well!
- I would like to encourage you to browse through the links and take time to visit some and comment when lead.
The link-up will run Tuesday at 6am-Sunday at 5pm. Please come back through Sunday and check out some of the posts!
I have made a Pinterest Board for the posts that you link-up, feel free to send me a message over on pinterest to be added. You can click here to check out the board.
As time allows I will pin some links from the linkup (unless you have already added them to the board), share them on social media and comment.
Please note: View expressed in linkedup posts do not necessarily reflect my own, and I reserve the right to delete inappropriate posts.
Now, to the link-up! Just click on the blue button below to add your link, and to check out all of the links left by others! Links are sorted randomly, so no need to worry if you join us late in the game!
You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!
Oh, my goodness, your days are full!
Thanks for sharing the details here. Potty training does eventually end, but not soon enough!
Winters, cold and flu season, can be hard with little ones. I remember mine seemed to pass it back and forth at times! I’m glad you and your hubby got out for a date night. I hope you get to see Ben Hur. It is one of my husband’s and my favorites! We probably watch it at least once a year. The scene where Jesus gives Judah Ben Hur a drink of water is one of my favorites of all time. I love the look on the Centurian’s face. To me, it says it all about the quiet power that must have emanated for Jesus.
Hi! I’m fairly new here. I’m sorry about your TV. Less than 6 months ago our 6 year old threw a hard plastic dog bone for the dog to fetch– except he through it straight at the tv past my husband and cracked the TV. My son cried the most since he is the one that uses that tv the most…..
Thanks for the party!
