Homemaking Resources, Recipes, Life, & The Aprons & Pearls Linkup

This past week the kids have been sick for the first time in, well, I cannot really remember. Allergy/coughy/season changing junk. It has made it hard to get stuff done. On top of that, our dishwasher has been on the fritz (yes, I know a lot of people do not even have one, but I have gotten used to it). It has been pretty crazy.

Last week I published a Gluten Free, Real Food Pumpkin Recipe Roundup. I love all things pumpkin.

Tomorrow I am making a dress for girlie’s Halloween costume. She picked the one Backyardigan that doesn’t have a premade costume…. Thankfully the boys are pretty easy!

Does your family hand out candy or treats on Halloween? We do not do much, we let the kids dress up and take them around the block. I make up goodie bags for the neighborhood kids with glow bracelets, candy, and a Gospel of John from The Pocket Testament League. Last year we handed out 40 goodie bags. What other night do you have people coming to you like that?

Today is the last day to snag the 2017 Ultimate Homemaking Bundle. It is my favorite homemaking resource. Even if you are not a full time homemaker, it has some amazing resources (106 of them, at 97% percent off!). If you would like more information on that, you can click here.

A few weeks ago I shared 116 Autumn Inspired Diffuser Blends. This week, my post on mood and energy boosting blends has nearly hit 4,000 views (yes, not a huge deal to many, but it has out done pretty much all of my other posts put together). It has been a bit exciting.

Operation Christmas Child  drop off week is fast approaching! Please take a minute to read about how you can impact a child’s life for Christ. Already know about Operation Christmas Child and want to pack a shoebox or host a shoebox packing party?

On to the linkup!

“If you want to experience consistent victory and see it played out in the atmosphere of your home, continually look for areas in which the Holy Spirit is leading to greater obedience, and ask God what your part is in making that a reality.

  1. We usually dress up and go to a few local churches who do Trunk or Treat. Our house sits at the end of a long and dark driveway and our front porch light is motion activated, so we always have a hard time sitting out on the porch and the neighbor kids actually coming up! Lol.

  2. We love packing Shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child!! It is such a good learning experience for my boys, they learn that others don’t have all the things that we have here, and they also learn to look for things that others will like instead of just them.
