Aprons & Pearls Linkup #70, and Updates

This week got off to a rough start yesterday. Well, really the next two weeks…

I had arranged to pick up my sister to come and help me this week so that I can get some stuff done around the house, finish some decluttering and get a bit of a head start on some blogs for when baby comes, and then to pickup my brother next week. Those plans have fallen through. Yesterday had lots of tears and crying out to God. In the end, we make the plans (even the detailed get the house done daily scheduled plans), but God decides our steps. He is in control. His ways are not our ways. More ways to rely on His grace and joy.

So, the next few weeks I am going to try to get through my lists anyway…we will see how it goes. If you feel inclined to pray that the children cooperate and that God will give me the energy and focus to get everything done that would be much appreciated.

This week has brought some more reminders of how the children imitate us. Just little things.

For one, B, when he got frustrated started saying “Jesus help me.” We had a talk about how mama says it as a sincere prayer, and how if that is how he means it, it is okay, but if it is just an exclamation then it is not.

D went around trying to put oils on his toes like I do to the kids before bed.

L prayed for her brothers when they got hurt, like I have shared that we do.

We are in a break period from story and science times, so that is one less thing on the plate.

This past week I shared some Mother’s Day Gift Ideas and some memories from a missions trip.

I have a few posts scheduled for later this week.

If you are interested in guest posting over the summer, I am looking for blog post submissions. Right now I have one, and I would like to get as close to 24 as I can. For more information you can check out my Google form.

The Spring Bucket List is well underway. This week we finally got some sunshine to enjoy. We pressed some flowers and had a picnic. We are planning to go to a new museum later this week. We found some four-leaf clovers (and one five leaf one!). We found a great book at the library to aid in our bug hunt. If you want to follow along, you can check out my Instagram account.

We got some rain this weekend which helped wash away a lot of the pollen. Hopefully that means that my allergies will ease up.

There have been a few weeds popping up. Trying to take care of those right away. Also reminds me of how important community is within the body of Christ.

On to the linkup!

The Aprons & Pearls Link-up

“If you want to experience consistent victory and see it played out in the atmosphere of your home, continually look for areas in which the Holy Spirit is leading to greater obedience, and ask God what your part is in making that a reality.

Aprons & Pearls Link~up @godschicki

This is a Christ-based weekly link-up to encourage others in their walks, and help Christian bloggers get their work out there.

Leave links to posts that are:

Homemaking/natural living/parenting/Christian walk related.

This could be natural living posts, recipes, cleaning, parenting, devotions, lessons, homeschool, Christian living, mentoring, modesty, gardening, homemade, diy, marriage, relationships, frugality, etc.

Linking Guidelines:

    • Link directly to your post (not to your homepage).
    • Please, no marketing posts (Plexus, Jamberry, MLM Oils or the like). Affiliate links to relevant items okay.
    • While I personally do not see anything wrong with a glass of wine every once in a while, please do not include alcoholic beverage recipes. It is a stumbling block to many, and I am not comfortable including them. They will be deleted.
    • Feel free to include old posts that need some love, relevant link ups and giveaways.
    • Leave as many as you like.
    • Link back to the Aprons & Pearls Linkup, either using the button below or a text link on either your post, sidebar, or link party page.
    • Use the hashtag #apronspearls when posting on social media so we can find your posts as well!
    • I would like to encourage you to browse through the links and take time to visit some and comment when lead.

The link-up will run Tuesday at 6am-Sunday at 5pm. Please come back through Sunday and check out some of the posts!

I have made a Pinterest Board for the posts that you link-up, feel free to send me a message over on pinterest to be added. You can click here to check out the board.

As time allows I will pin some links from the linkup (unless you have already added them to the board), share them on social media and comment.

Please note: View expressed in linkedup posts do not necessarily reflect my own, and I reserve the right to delete inappropriate posts.

  1. It sounds like God has given you a huge opportunity to trust Him and I know He will show up in a big way. His grace is always sufficient. I’m praying for you, Robbi.
