Changes, Looking Forward, Spring, and The Aprons & Pearls Linkup

It has been a few weeks since I have done a proper update. Life has been busy.

I have been back in krav maga for two weeks now. Some of the things that I learned just over six months ago have already changed. It is not really a martial art, those do not change like krav does. It has been fun and a good stress reliever.

Sunday we celebrated Resurrection Day at church. Instead of Sunday school, we all met together to learn about the Passover Seder, and its foreshadowing of Jesus’s sacrifice. After church we shared a meal with some friends.

April is Earth Month. I have heard Christians say that this world does not matter at all, and that it will just die anyway. That, in some sense, is true. However, God gave us stewardship of the earth, and in that sense, I believe that we should do our part in taking care of the environment. Last year, I wrote about making the air quality in our homes better and my favorite green products.

A week ago yesterday I chopped off a foot of hair (well, hubby helped!). It ended up a bit shorter than I really wanted, but it is long enough to pull up, and that is what is important.

I feel like I am making progress on the house. Painfully slowly, but it is getting there. My goal is to have the downstairs done by Mother’s Day, and the upstairs done within two weeks of that. If you feel inclined, prayer that God would allow the children to cooperate would be appreciated!

The weather is warming up nicely, so I am hoping to be able to use the clothes line more, which means I will be able to do more loads a day. The past week has been very nice outside, but the pollen count has been very high, so I have not used it much.

Our seeds have sprouted. The children enjoy checking them daily.

The children are also enjoying playing outside. I like that. I hope that they are the outdoorsy type. I am not. I would much rather read a book inside instead of outside. I do like gardening though.

I am planning on trying squirt gun, and spinner painting with the children. They do enjoy art projects. I do too.

Girlie had her tooth pulled yesterday. She was very brave and did very well.

The 2019 Ultimate Homemaking Bundle is coming up! It is my favorite bundle of the year. There are always so many great resources included, and even if I only use 5-10 of them it is well worth it. The bonuses alone are usually worth it for me. So, keep an eye out for news about that.

I am also working on updating older posts and moving to a domain. The goal is to launch at the end of summer.

“If you want to experience consistent victory and see it played out in the atmosphere of your home, continually look for areas in which the Holy Spirit is leading to greater obedience, and ask God what your part is in making that a reality.

This is a Christ-based weekly link-up to encourage others in their walks, and help Christian bloggers get their work out there.

Leave links to posts that are:

Homemaking/natural living/parenting/Christian walk related.

This could be natural living posts, recipes, cleaning, parenting, devotions, lessons, homeschool, Christian living, mentoring, modesty, gardening, homemade, diy, marriage, relationships, frugality, etc.

Linking Guidelines:

    • Link directly to your post (not to your homepage).
    • Please, no marketing posts (Plexus, Jamberry, MLM Oils or the like). Affiliate links to relevant items okay.
    • While I personally do not see anything wrong with a glass of wine every once in a while, please do not include alcoholic beverage recipes. It is a stumbling block to many, and I am not comfortable including them. They will be deleted.
    • Feel free to include old posts that need some love, relevant link ups and giveaways.
    • Leave as many as you like.
    • Link back to the Aprons & Pearls Linkup, either using the button below or a text link on either your post, sidebar, or link party page.
    • Use the hashtag #apronspearls when posting on social media so we can find your posts as well!
    • I would like to encourage you to browse through the links and take time to visit some and comment when lead.

The link-up will run Tuesday at 6am-Sunday at 5pm. Please come back through Sunday and check out some of the posts!

I have made a Pinterest Board for the posts that you link-up, feel free to send me a message over on pinterest to be added. You can click here to check out the board.

  1. I agree with you about our responsibility to respect the earth God has created. And those who neglect it with a heavenly mindset are forgetting that the Bible talks about a New Earth where we will eternally dwell, so even though God will restore and perfect all that has been lost or fallen, we dare not take his gift so lightly.
Congratulations on all that you are accomplishing!
